An additional lawsuit was filed on March 6th by 69 plaintiffs.

This additional lawsuit was made possible with the funds you provided through crowdfunding .

This additional lawsuit is expected to be consolidated with a lawsuit filed by five plaintiffs (not included in the previous 69 plaintiffs) in July of last year.

Yesterday, the plaintiff held a press conference at the Tokyo District Court.

On November 6th (Monday), the first oral argument was held in a lawsuit against Shinjuku Ward to cancel a tree felling permit. Plaintiffs Toshikawa Asuka (Professor at Tohoku University), Masayoshi Takeuchi (Tohoku University of Art and Design), and Mr. Yamazaki (350 New ENEration) gave their opinions. This lawsuit was broadcast nationwide on NHK's "News 7" and "News Watch 9" on the same day, and on NHK's "Good Morning Japan" the next day, and received a great response.

Apology and Correction

Some changes were made to the original target amount and the use of funds column. We deeply apologize for this error which was due lack of confirmation. The specific corrections are as follows.

(ⅰ) Necessary expenses for filing the lawsuits (stamps, postage stamps, etc.)

We had originally set a goal of 3,000 additional plaintiffs in the Tokyo lawsuit, but we discovered that we are not able to add any more plaintiffs because the deadline had already come and gone. Therefore, we have changed our plan to add plaintiffs only in the lawsuit against Shinjuku Ward. Since the number of additional plaintiffs was reduced from 3,300 to 50, the necessary expenses were also reduced by that amount, from 20 million yen to 3 million yen.

(iv) Attorney's fees

Since there are no more additional plaintiffs to be added to the lawsuits filed against the Tokyo Metropolitan Government due to the above reasons, legal fees have been revised to 1.98 million yen, half of the original amount.

(v) Secretariat fees, etc.

Because the number of additional plaintiffs has been significantly reduced for the reasons stated above, the secretariat fees have been revised from the original 2,400,000 yen to 380,000 yen.
