CALL4は、第1回「日本ソーシャル・スタートアップAWARD」を受賞したことをお知らせいたします。
この賞は、革新的な事業プランで未解決の社会課題解決を図る、非営利スタートアップ事業を選出するものです。
CALL4が受賞したのは、『「ひとりの声をみんなの問いに」― ルールチェンジによる社会課題解決を応援する「公共訴訟」ウェブプラットフォーム運営事業』です。本プラットフォームは、市民が司法を通じて社会課題の解決に関わる機会を生み出すことを目的としており、これまでの社会的インパクトおよび実績が評価されたと考えています。

ぜんそくの子どもを持つ一人の親から始まった訴訟が、東京の空気を清涼なものに変え、今1400万人の人たちがその恩恵を受けているように、公共訴訟は、実はこれまでも社会を形作る有力な手段でした。しかし、それは一部の法律家や支援者たちのみによって支えられた知る人ぞ知る活動でした。そして、その狭さゆえに様々な限界を持っていました。CALL4は、この効果的で、希望のあるアクションを、市民の人たちにもっとひらいたらどんなことが生まれるだろう、そんな夢想から始まった活動です。
この活動に、第1回の日本ソーシャル・スタートアップAWARDという栄ある賞をいただけたことをとても嬉しく思います。この受賞が、公共訴訟の可能性を多くの人たちに伝え、支援に参画していただく機会へとつながることを願っています。

◆「日本ソーシャル・スタートアップAWARD」について
公益財団法人日本フィランソロピック財団が設立した「日本ソーシャル・スタートアップAWARD」は、社会課題の解決に挑む非営利スタートアップの取り組みを表彰し、その挑戦を後押しする顕彰事業です。本AWARDでは、未解決の社会課題に対して革新的な事業プランで解決を図る活動を取り上げるとともに、特に優れた事業には副賞として400万円を授与し、創業期の成長を支援します。
CALL4は今後も、クラウドファンディングをはじめとするケースサポートを通じて、司法をより身近に感じていただけるよう日々活動してまいります。
CALL4 is pleased to announce that we received the 1st Japan Social Startup Award.
This award recognizes nonprofit startups that tackle unresolved social issues through innovative business plans.
CALL4 was awarded for its project, “From One Voice to Everyone's Question: Operating a Public Litigation Web Platform Supporting Social Issue Resolution Through Rule Change.” This platform aims to create opportunities for citizens to engage in solving social issues through the judicial system. We believe it was honored for its significant social impact and achievements to date.

Just as a lawsuit initiated by a single parent of an asthmatic child transformed Tokyo's air into something refreshing, benefiting 14 million people today, public litigation has actually been a powerful means of shaping society all along. However, it was an activity known only to a select few, supported primarily by lawyers and advocates. And because of its narrow scope, it faced various limitations. CALL4 began as a dream: What might emerge if we opened this effective, hopeful action to ordinary citizens?
We are deeply honored to receive the prestigious First Japan Social Startup Award for this initiative. We hope this recognition will communicate the potential of public interest litigation to many and inspire participation in its support.

About the Japan Social Startup Award
The Japan Social Startup Award, established by the Japan Philanthropic Foundation, is an honorary program that recognizes the efforts of nonprofit startups tackling social challenges and supports their endeavors. This award highlights activities that aim to solve unresolved social issues through innovative business plans. It also provides an additional prize of 4 million yen to particularly outstanding projects, supporting their growth during the startup phase.
CALL4 will continue its daily efforts to make the justice system feel more accessible through case support, including crowdfunding.
