On Friday, May 9, CALL4 will host our first Court Hearing Tour in Osaka District Court: Vol.13 – Witness the Plaintiff’s Examination in the Case Challenging the Constitutionality of Article 11(1) of the Nationality Act, which Allows the State to Unilaterally Strip Japanese Nationality Without Consent.
Many people are interested in public interest litigation, but going to observe a court hearing alone can feel daunting.
That’s why CALL4 has organized this guided Court Hearing Tour.
We invite you to join us and experience the courtroom together.
This time, we will guide participants through the case challenging the constitutionality of Article 11(1) of the Nationality Act, which allows the state to unilaterally deprive individuals of their Japanese nationality against their will.
The hearing will include the plaintiff’s own testimony, and the oral arguments are scheduled to conclude.
