A new case, "Lawsuit Challenging Mie Prefecture’s ”Discriminatory Survey” Against Foreign Residents" has been posted.
Case Summary:
Mie Prefecture conducted a survey of its residents to consider reinstating a nationality requirement for prefectural employee recruitment. However, foreign residents were excluded from the survey, and survey questions link foreign nationals to the risk of information leaks. This lawsuit argues that the survey constitutes an ”unjust discrimination” and that the expenditure of public funds for such survey shall be illegal.
