第24回目は、立候補年齢引き下げ訴訟について、弁護団の亀石倫子弁護士と西愛礼弁護士にお話を聞きました。
日本では、衆議院議員・地方議会議員・市区町村長は25歳以上、参議院議員・都道府県知事は30歳以上でないと立候補できないことになっています。若者の声が政治に届きづらいこの仕組みも司法の力で変えられるかもしれません。
弁護士のお二人にはこの訴訟の概要とともに、訴訟によって社会を変えること、この訴訟への想いを語っていただきました。「ルールなんだから仕方ないんじゃないの？」という疑問を持った方にもぜひ聞いていただきたい内容です。
